You might want to either change the upgrade description or the code for gold gain on the automatic generator. It says 2x per upgrade which would mean it would double every upgrade; however, it only provides +10 per upgrade.
I agree that it would be pretty bad design, but there is a generator that generates 10 gold a second. So it only takes 10 seconds for the first upgrade. I appreciate the feedback though

Having to click 100 times for the first upgrade is a big no no.
